Mukarabe still in Uganda, very successful mission!

Amazing things are happening in Uganda, where Mukarabe has been for the past 10 days. She visited the main Refugee camp in Uganda, Camp Mbarara, and made important contacts at a very high government level to change the situation of our Burundian refugee groupe drastically. In very few days, and with the help of the Ugandan Prime minister's office for refugee affairs, she was able to procure them all official refugee status including work permits. That means that our group of refugees do not have to languish in overcrowded refugee camps, but can work in a normal environment to contribute to the society they live in.

Mukarabe was able to bring Emery ( the boy that got shot in Burundi) to the Peninsula Community Church organized medical mission in Bombo, where Dr. Popoola took specifically good care of him. His legs are badly infected, but amputation was avoided.

Many of the Burundian refugees heart were touched at Bombo Pentecostal Church and gave their lives to the Lord Jesus. The village and the medical mission embraced them and wonderful relationships were started.

Mukarabe will be finishing her mission in the beginning of the week, and return to the US on Friday September 4th.
